    A 4-digit SN = DOM 1925 = A 2nd year gun - 95 years old

I have been looking for a gun with all X's for the serial number for ever. How did you find yours?

Is a Winchester m55 a variation of the m94? And- is the barrel manufacture date hidden under the forearm as well? I only ask because I read somewhere that the barrel date might not be the actual completion date.
    I'm curious is all.

It is a take down rifle with a 24 inch barrel. You can use a small chisle oand a hammer.
