    Good Birthday.

    Turned 52 today.

Met my dad for dinner last night at a bar/diner in a little Idaho logging town and he gave me one of his shotguns for a present.

I had always admired the Ruger Red Label shotguns when I was working in his gun shop as a kid, and the one he gave me was customized with an English walnut straight stock, extra engraving, and blackened stainless receiver. It shows honest wear as it has taken countless pheasants.

It fits me perfectly and swings very nicely.

That wood looks like the quality that would cost as much today as the Red Label did back when ! Congrats,AND TRY TO avoid falling with it...

    Way cool.
A shotgun like that,,, I don't think I'd let anybody touch it, or take it out of the house.

Enjoy them old folks while ya can.
They'll be gone way too soon.

Wearing it now as she is taking me wine tasting, then to dinner at the fanciest place in town. She is really, really trying her best to get me to pop the question.

They showed those on the 'How its Made ' show. Fascinating to watch them being built.

Very nice and Happy Birthday. Go ahead and ask her. I'm 60 and not doing that again after 30 years but hey, everyone is different. Good luck!
