    copdills,
I am disappointed that you were able to get your hands on these hulls.....it means I did not! What I have found is that they have the exact internals as a Federal gold medal hull. You can do your own test with water. They need a straight wall hull wad like Federal or Trap commander from BPI but what you have will work. Or you could sell them to me for a profit and make my Christmas complete!

I have or at least had some 12 ga. Activ hull reloading data. I will likely have to look it out on a back up hard drive. I thought I had posed it on Cast Boolits but don't find it so...

I'll look it up then do I send it to you or Hal?

I'll just post what I find here.

I have an Active catalog and reloading booklet. It has data for 12 and 20 ga. hulls with non Active wads. If you would like I could scan and e-mail the pages to you.

There is no problem so great, that it cannot be solved by the proper application of high explosives.

    copdills:

I haven't had chance to dig through the back up hard drive but during a bit of a search on the internet I found this thread by Ajay:

    http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...ding-data-here

(correction... thread by 375 RUGER with same info I think that Scott posted and a bunch from AJAY)

Between that and what Scott posted I suspect that is more than I have but I will look anyway. What I do have is the BPI slug and buckshot loading manuals which have some info for Activ hulls if you want that too.

I'll try to get toit tomorrow.

I have taken to loading all future buckshot and and slugs in these hulls. You know you don't have to resize them. And I have loaded some as many as 7 or 8 times. BTW, I guess you know I was having a little fun at your expense in my last post. I guess the 70's were retty good to me.Click image for larger version.

the Active hulls worked great with the federal components both 12ga and 20ga , I really like these hulls ,I don't understand why they stopped making them

copdills.... sorry! I forgot about you! I am easily distracted these days then I forget.

I know I have some BPI slug and buckshot reloading data I can scan and post. Not sure I have any shot load data better than what has been posted. I will check though.

Okay so I am old and forgetful... eventually I get aroundtoit!

Here are scans from my hard copies:

    DOH! No they aren't!

I scanned my BPI slug and buckshot load data for Activ 12 and 20 ga. hulls but the files are too large to post. I even tried saving back as jpegs but they have to be shrunk as well.

What is the best way to post these pics as PDF or jpeg?

PDF file sizes are 300 to 700 KB

jpeg file sizes for the few I did are 200+ KB

Seems to me the limit is 100 KB but I can't find the picture posting info now!

I can e-mail these to you if you PM me your e-mail address or if someone can direct me as to how to post these I will post them.

Help! I'm a simple old guy!

The 12 ga. 2 3/4" Activ hulls can be made into a wonderful 1 7/8 oz. turkey load with copper plated 7 1/2 shot, which will literally remove a turkey's head at 40 yards.

The 3" Activ hulls are some of the best hulls for making a double .690 lead round ball loads.

Like everyone else, if you are interested in parting with the 12 ga. hulls, I will make you a trade for double the amount of Federal Gold Medal hulls, and could probably be talked into a 3 to 1 trade if you are interested.
