Anyway, with an 8 cavity aluminum MP mold and efficient technique I can empty the pots in a bit more than two hours so it's not too bad.
Man I wish I got to shoot as much as you! 16 years shooting USPSA and I don't think I've ever shot that much. Too many hobbies I guess. I don't mind the time casting though; it's therapeutic.

To much time on your hands to measure a pot full of molten lead!
Different mixes weight in at different weights!
Cast an enjoy! My 2 cents.

It's true that USPSA is mostly what I do as a hobby. It also helps that my club is possibly the largest and most active in the state, within easy driving distance, is privately owned with a dedicated Action shooting range that club range officers have access to seven days a week, and has one or another action shooting match almost every weekend.

I probably shoot less than most of the really good members.

I enjoy the casting too: the Zen of pouring lead...

The Zen of thread drifting - my apologies.

the 4 indicates 4" of clearance below the pot for bottom pouring into molds.

Collecting .32 molds. Please let me know if you have one you don't need, cause I might "need" it!

I think 4-20 means 4-20 drips per minute

Funny my ladle rarely drips, what are these drips you speak of?
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.

Kind of hard to claim to love America while one is hating half the Americans that disagree with you. One nation indivisible requires work.
