Question What are your favorite powder coating colors?

What are your favorite powder coating colors?

    My top 2 are:

Cardinal WHITE HAMMER T013-WH09 With ASBBDT this powder changes everything you use it and it enhances whatever you blend it with [This powder sticks great; you can ASBBDT, dump it on a baking screen and the boolits won't stick together]

Cardinal SILVER METALLIC 30 GLOSS T353-GR06 * [This powder sticks great; you can ASBBDT, dump it on a baking screen and the boolits won't stick together] http://www.cardinalpaint.com/powder/tgic-polyester/

Cardinal STEEL GRAY PEARLESCENT 80 GLOSS T028-GR02 [This powder sticks great; you can ASBBDT, dump it on a baking screen and the boolits won't stick together] http://www.cardinalpaint.com/powder/tgic-polyester/

"Old Lead ... just plain old grey in whatever shade you have..."

Mix = 50/50 gloss black and white, I think it's Sherwin Williams but not sure of that, I've been using this powder prolly 4 years now & forget the name brand.

I'm not powder coating long enough to have sampled more than a couple of dozen colors and formulations but it so happens that the ones I liked the best worked the best and I stopped looking at other color variatons.

The John Deere Green (HB Fuller) , Teal (Govesan polyester) and the burgundy (HB Fuller TGIC ) are my faves. They all give great coverage with SnB although a few (active blue&purple, and mil blue) come out lumpy. They shoot just fine though.

Not to be overly picky, please be more detailed on the powder name, manufacturer, and exact blend ratio

OSOK what powders/ blend ratio make up "old lead?"
GARD72977 Eastwood makes a lot of blue powders, which one is this?
bmortell without percentages and powder names/manufacturers, we can't duplicate this.

shoot i dont really have a formula i kinda mixed by eye after getting an idea from googling color mixer. but i used smokes jet black, signal blue, jd green. my orange is virginia tech orange from pbtp but smokes orange or any other normal orange would work fine.

but anywho OD green recipe is approx. 1 part orange, 1 part blue, 0.75 part green, 2 parts black. if it turns out vomit green you probably need more black

color mixer says that gives OD green, could proably get it better than mine i only tried once or twice

Eastwood Hotcoat Powder Coat Full Gloss Clear. It shake n’ bakes great using only a red plastic Forgers coffee can. Around here our humidity stays pretty constant at around 40%, I get good coverage at that humidity.

Same here! Covers nice and smooth, and keeps that newly castboolit, shiney-silver look.

Any of the high gloss blues with clear added for a translucent shade. I also like red, bright green, purple, black, clear, and bloody stool (my Supreme invention). What the heck, I'll admit it, I have a color problem.

All of my colors are high gloss.

I use Smoke's powders. They all work well but I mostly use the Carolina blue and clear. The black and white speckled ones look good too, like a granite kind of.

    .

Ripol - brand from Italy, non -TGIC. Red/white & yellow/white,they cover better when mixed.

I use smoke's safety cone orange, bright green, and bacon grease. The more outlandish and bright, the better.
