    Cimarron ( Pietta ) 1873 Trigger Pull

Among you owners of fairly recently made by Pietta Cimarron Pistolero or Frontier ( in this case .45 Colt ) sixguns do you know what the weight in lbs. your factory triggers are ? I've read recent Uberti models are pretty light, as low as 2 lbs which is lighter than I care for.

    Thanks

Just checked my Cimarron 7th cavalry made by Pietta and it consistently falls between 1-3/4 to 2 pounds.

I’ve got a Cimarron Evil Roy that breaks at about 2 lbs. I don’t know who made this pistol but supposedly they’ve been tuned more than the standard 1873’s.

I've got one of these myself, made by Uberti. Trigger is about 2 lbs.

I also have a Pietta .357 Mag. It's trigger is about 4-4.5 lbs.

I could live with that latter weight pull. May I ask what model and it's age ?

My .44 Special Cimarron came with a very light trigger pull. However, it had such a heavy mainspring, that it broke the firing pin within the first two weeks. I called "Cimarron" and they handled the repairs in just a week or so. It has worked well ever since.
