Montana: Match the caliber and firearm to the size of the animal hunted. kootne: Uhh I'll get right on that!

Great story even better shooting, but yeah the rifle itself is ingenious.
Got a .22 .30 .32 .357 .38 .40 .41 .44 .45 .480 or .500 S&W cylinder that needs throats honed? 9mm, 10mm/40S&W, 45 ACP pistol barrel that won't "plunk" your handloads? 480 Ruger or 475 Linebaugh cylinder that needs the "step" reamed to 6° 30min chamfer? Nice rifle and buck. He almost looks like a Pipe Creek rust head, good job.

Thank you for those photos and info. Dixie did sell rim fire adapters years back. Not sure if they still do.
Have seen that basic idea used on a 44 rim fire SS. Worked well and far surpassed paying $4 a shot for 80 year old ammo.

I call him a 4 point? I may have spent too much time in the Red Dog though.

Here, only count one side, points have to be over 1” and, brow tines don’t count making it a beautiful three pointer from my point of view

Thanks for the Pictures of a great hunt and a beauty of a rifle and to be able to make your own ammo for it is just awesome.
