    Powder still available

Stopped at the LGS today...Jay's in Gaylord MI. Shelves of powder are about 50% stocked and a decent selection. Prices are fair too. Looked like I could load any caliber/gauge with what was available. I suggest if you have spare cash to stock up on powder unless you have a 4 year supply while it is still reasonable.

No primers expect for a few boxes of .50 cal. Not even 209's

    Bullet selection was limited.

    Nearly all ammunition is gone.

The guy manning the ammunition counter just shook his head when I talked to him.

Their handgun display cases were maybe 2/3's empty.

LGS here could make a dozen black carbines, IF he had bolt carriers.

My ammo stock is half if what it was in April. All the popular ctgs. Are gone

Guns are a little thin here but not bad. The local Atwoods farm store has a good selection and good prices, but ammo is gone everywhere. Word is they will be restocked for Black Friday.

Primers are all gone around here except shotgun. But powder is full everywhere I go, you can still get all you want about anywhere.

Everybody at the beginning of the year was worrying about running out of COWW's and Pb! My, how times have changed! I "felt" this coming back in middle 2019, so stocked up, a few thousand at time, on primers at LGS's and gun shows. Now there is lots of Pb around, and molds, and brass, and powder, but no primers! And comm-ammo is as scarce as Republicans in NYC.

Good luck finding what you need when you need it!

I was knocking around with a buddy yesterday and stopped by our favorite shop for a look. Powder is available around here, maybe not all flavors but you can find something to burn. Bullets in popular calibers were thin but you could find something to shoot. Primers, not so much, a box here and there with a limit of 1 or 2 boxes. It looked like he had added a few things with higher prices since my last visit. Most ammo is very thin with some not available, guns about the same.

In the last two weeks I was finally able to top up my powder and brass supply for next year. I am running a bit late due to the shortages. The wait for powder was almost 4 months.
Buy it cheap and stack it deep!

Pretty much the same thing at the Clare store too.

I went by Sportsman's Warehouse yesterday. No primers and not much powder or loaded ammo. There were two big jugs of Green Dot along with the smattering of one pounders of a few powders. I was just curious not really shopping as I have enough for a while and will not pay high prices. Actually I did not look at the prices so I don't know if they were marked up.

theres bolt carriers about everwhere. I just went shopping for one. Problem is the 90 dollar bolt carriers a year ago are a 150 bucks now. But theyre avaiable if you need one.
