Load data for 38 spl 80 gr wadcutter

A friend gave me a box of 80 gr .358 wadcutter bullets. He had no data for loading this boolit.

I want a light load for target practice. I have the following powders: Red Dot, Unique and Bullseye. My searches have not yielded any suggested loads.

I would appreciate any load recommendations.

2.5 to 3.5 gr Bullseye. Years ago I made some 85 gr WCs and used them for head shooting snow shoe rabbits.

Any start load for a 148 grain wadcutter would do a good job. All it really needs to do is consistently clear the barrel.

2.8-3.0 grains of red dot or bullseye will do what you need. I have shot a lot of Lyman 358-101 75 Grain WC boolits with similar loads. I wouldn't go any lighter. It is easy to stick one in the bore.
