.308 data for .311 bullet cause high pressure

Hornady data shows 7.62x54R with a .308 bullet but needs a .311 bullet . Will using the .308 data cause high pressure or other issues ? Powder will be BL-C2 powder .

Do you have another book to compare too? I always cross reference when loading something new. I don't think the 308 data will do any harm as long a bullet weight is the same. Start at beginning data and work up.

The info is a bit thin . I have used the BL-C2 in 303 Brit and 7 Jap . their charges were about 42gr with .311 bullet but it shows 52gr for .308 in 7.62x54r .

Assuming a jacketed bullet(?) in a Mosin-Nagant. It will be fine as mentioned and will more often than not give much better accuracy in a MN.
