629 forcing cone/rifling transition... can this be lapped?

This is ugly and I have to remove the barrel anyway to straighten the front sight... but could this be lapped just a little instead of cutting a completely new forcing cone?

    I don't have cone tools,not yet.

This is a very mild and fun "women & children -load" around 900 fps. Fast shooting in dark...

Not many daylight hours now... why is Christmas located in the darkest time of year?

I think your sentence actually offers the answer,,
I would not spend as much $$$ on Christmas if it was August 25th,,, too much other fun going on,,

The winter doldrums kinda go away when the celebration starts,, and people will spend $$$$ to make everyone happy,,,

I'd cut a new cone rather than wasting time seeing if it laps out.
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!

    Well having a 5° lap and a 18° gauge don't help much.

But maybe... maybe a well centered 5° lap could touch those burrs just a little?

I will get proper chamfering tools little by little. I will cut a new cone.

It makes absolutely no financial sense but I'm now known for great financial wisdom so be it. Here where I live, guns are cheap but all these special tools cost a fortune.
