    WTT H&I dies for .451 H&I

Good fortunes smiled upon me and I was able to procure a 45ACP pistol this weekend. I have everything in hand, moulds, top punches, primers, powder dies, however the one thing I am missing is a .451 H&I die which is apparently the go to size from all the references. I went thru my size die collection and finally did a good inventory and identified several duplicate size dies available to trade. I have not used most of them but to my knowledge they are all serviceable for use though some cleanup may be necessary.

I would like to do a 1 for 1 swap with each of us covering the postage. I can use either style as I have Lyman 45’s, 450 and 4500 on hand.

Not selling at this point as my focus is to get the .451 die first.

I have available the following dies to trade, all are used and have the various marks and scars associated with use in a Lyman 45 and are the older non o-ring type:

308 Unknown Mfgr- size written in sharpie on the side
    311
    356
    357
    358 got 3 of these
    429
    454
452 Herters in box marked 45ACP
257 Herters in box marked 257 Roberts

Are the herters dies the same as a 450 die it similar to a saeco ? that is, with a retaining nut --

You want .452 for lead, otherwise you get lead, the wrong kind.

I just looked, I have .450 and .452 , no .451 I would try .452 before you take the leap to .451, all my 45's size at .452 (except 45/70)
