How important is a mirror-like polishing in revolver throats / forcing cones?
This is a 2019 S&W 629 V-Comp Performance Center forcing cone after 1500 rounds. I understand that lapping / polishing will enlarge everything...
I'm getting very little leading so there's no real need but this is sort of a project gun so I wanted to ask. Would I get rid of ALL leading? I can shoot hundreds of rounds without cleaning. But I've never had a mirror cone in about two dozen revolvers I've had. Most of which were/are S&W:s.
