I only had my right eye done ... dominant eye, But I can see fairly well close up with my left eye. Works out for me.

Wayne, in my prayers. Had surgery on both eyes 5and 6 years ago, one for close up other for distance. Zero problems Thank God however with age still need glasses for reading and + 150 cheap glasses for shooting. Way better than before. You should be good as new by Thanksgiving, good to carve the bird.

I actually had three procedures done at one time - correction of presbyopia (near sightedness), glaucoma, and cataract/lens replacement. Will have the same procedures on the right eye.

As far as lens replacement we opted for the variable lens - the most expensive option and had to be cleared for this as apparently some people can't use it, I don't know why. The money is there, or was as we have already paid, and just the idea of not wearing glasses is exciting. If I were in the position of not being able to afford these or not able to use them I would opt for one eye distant and one eye close.

your still on the list Wayne... cant wait to hear the result. the thought of iron sights again will prolly pay for the procedure in expensive scope savings... pretty exciting I think...

OOPS, gave the wrong date for the second eye - scheduled for the 30th, not the 20th.
