    WTB Lever-action .45 Colt - see description

I'm looking for a lever-action .45 to pair with my .45 revolver (an "old" Vaquero 7.5"), just for some new casting and loading fun.

    Requirements:

    - .45 Colt

    - Loading gate (so Henry is out)

    - Prefer side-ejecting, but could probably give that a pass for the right rifle.

    - good look, good fit and finish, good function

    - Priced reasonably by market value (not looking for cheap, but also not looking to take out a loan)

I'm not hung up on any particular brand, I just want a good, reliable rifle.

I've been looking at the Marlin 1894 CB online, but no one around here has one in-store where I can handle it and make sure the fit and finish is good. I've heard bad things about the consistency of their lever guns in recent years, and don't want to get a bad one.

I buy firearms the same way I buy acoustic instruments: I either need to hold it in my hands or I need someone who knows what they're talking about to vouch for it. I would never just order online and hope I get a good one.

I'm not in a hurry, I've been looking for over a year now, it's just something I've had on my list that I haven't been able to find. Anyone got a good one collecting dust?

I have a Marlin 1894 Cowboy Limited 24" Octagon barrel, 45 Colt, 12 rounds. My back-up gun for SASS for a few years. Slick action. Not cheap.
    PM if interested.
