    If you don't mind me asking... what did they charge per pound? I just picked up 35 pounds of someones casting alloys for .80 per pound. Will melt it all together and our local yard will XRF it. It is much harder than soft lead, only marked H on some and l on others. I suspect the l batch could be lino, rings well.

    Anyone have any idea what these are? Cut like lead, scratch like lead. Oil field tool? 20 feet long 3-4 inches in diameter.
    9000 pounds available.

    You are very lucky (as I am) to live in a great state that allows scrap yards to sell Pb to the public. Many will not.

    There is no shortage of lead, just places to buy it from!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I will show my wife’s dad tomorrow . He is in the oil field. I know they do pore Babbitt for doing a job, heard them talking about it a month ago. He is in pipe line recovery so gets to use explosives.
