I live on the W coast. my friend and I have often PC'd in our garages with the door open while it was raining outside.

Keep the powder sealed except when using it.

All my powders are stored in plastic bags.

Alabama here as well. I use the black air soft bb’s and use a #5 tub just keep everything sealed up when not in use. If it doesn’t shake and bake pretty quick I will place the container in my tumbler for a couple minutes or you can warm the boolits up ( just place them in the sun for little bit in the summer) and the powder will stick better.
I coated some Thursday night while it was drizzling rain and the shake and bake was all I needed.
