I borrowed my brother's 66 back in the 70's and had a lot of fun with it till he took it back. Couldn't complain, it was his to start with and I had a lot of fun with it bouncing soup cans around at 40 yds at a local gravel pit. Was looking for a replacement and didn't realize how many variants of the basic nylon stock are available. I was over on a lever action board and saw a picture of a nylon stocked lever action .22 based on a nylon 66 stock. First time I have seen anything like that and man it looked slicker than snot.

If you think the semi auto Nylons are bringing crazy prices you wouldn't believe what the lever actions sell for. Remington only made 26,927 of the lever action Model 76, compared to close to 1 million Nylon 66s
