    lee loadmaster + universal charging dies

    Hi all,

    I have an older LM and charging dies with collets. supposed to work with .380 all the way to 300 win mag. http://fsreloading.com/image/cache/c...20-228x228.jpg

    I had it setup for 223 and it was working fine.

    I'm trying to set it up for 9mm with my loadmaster and perfect powder. The press is about 10 years old if it makes any difference.

    When I use the small pistol collet the perfect powder does not go all the way up. If I add an extra collet on the downstroke it snapped the chain.

    Unfortunately the Lee website is down right now so i can't grab a manual.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    @rcmaveric

    Thank you very much. Unfortunately I'm doing everything the manual says. It goes to the dump position, but when I pull down it stops at 90' and won't take any powder. any thoughts?

    OK. I figured it out. for the next poor sap who has to do this.

    I ended up flipping the small pistol brass tube. It shortened it by about 3mm and now it can fully extend and retract. Weird...

    rcmaveric, thanks for your help. I'm printing and saving your instructions and making notes
