For Thought and Meditation - Friday, Oct. 23

Good morning. Happy almost to the weekend. This message is particularly aimed at this group, as I believe most of us know the power of prayer. For those of us that may have doubts, this is for you. Have a blessed and safe day. Go in peace.

    A Way Through

“And they said to Moses, ‘Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness? Weren’t there enough graves for us in Egypt? What have you done to us? Why did you make us leave Egypt?’”
    —Exodus 14:11

I spent part of my childhood living with my grandparents. Sometimes we’d go to their cabin in Yucca Valley, which is in the desert, and it was freezing cold. This cabin didn’t have electricity or a bathroom, so we had to use an outhouse.

Today the thought of spending time in the desert isn’t all that appealing to me.

When the Israelites left Egypt, they weren’t excited about spending time in the desert, either. After God sent a series of plagues, Pharaoh finally agreed to release the Israelites. But as they made their way to a new land, they came to what looked like an insurmountable obstacle: The Red Sea.

To make matters worse, they looked up to see Egyptian army coming after them. They went to Moses and said, “Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness? . . . It’s better to be a slave in Egypt than a corpse in the wilderness!” (Exodus 14:11–12 NLT).

So Moses began to pray, and the Lord effectively told him, “This isn’t a time to pray; this is a time to move.” He told Moses to lift his staff over the Red Sea, which he did. The waters parted, and the Israelites walked through on dry ground. Then the waters collapsed on the pursuing Egyptian army.

Sometimes we find ourselves in a desert of sorts, and we don't know why we’re there. It’s a time of trial and hardship, and we can’t make any sense out of it. We’re trying to figure out why this has happened, and we don’t see a way through.

The Bible tells us, “You do not have because you do not ask” (James 4:2 NKJV). If you have a need, bring it to God. There’s nothing wrong with praying about whatever you’re in need of. So pray about it, but don’t complain about it.
Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

    Amen and AMEN and Hallelujah!

We are expected to lay our burdens at his feet. To follow him, to SERVE him.
So if you have a problem don't try to fix it yourself. Take it to the Lord in Prayer.
And keep doing what he wants you to do for him. If he needs your help he will let you know.

And before you say "But I don't hear him?" let me ask you. Are you still and quiet and listening?

Not our will, but HIS be done.
Not MY will but Thine Lord, on earth as it is in Heaven.

You should be able to talk to the Lord like you would talk to your best friend from High School.
After all, he made you the way you are, he's been with you from the beginning. He knows everything there is to know about you and loves you.
I truly believe we need to get back to basics.

    Get right with the Lord.
    Get back to the land.
Get back to thinking like our forefathers thought.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you
and give you His peace. Let all of the earth – all of His creation – worship and praise His name! Make His
    praise glorious!

Good lesson . Even Christ was sent into the wilderness . It was just him and Satan . He never wavered in the temptations Satan offered . Christ our Lord lead by living example . GOD tells us we will be tested but he will never tempt us .
No turning back , No turning back !
