When I was too young to own my own gun, my older brother let me borrow this Winchester model 250 occasionally. I remember that it had a heavy trigger but looked and shot good. He brought it over yesterday with a jammed round in it and also asked me to mount the cheap red dot sight once I fixed it. The only thing wrong was decades of oily gunpowder residue in the guts. A tooth brush, solvent and compressed air fixed it up. It still looks, shoots and works good- and the trigger is still heavy but at least it is a crisp heavy, not crunchy creepy heavy.
