    Got word today that Milt has passed on. Guess it was earlier in the year. He will be missed.

    Milt had been suffering from bad respiratory problems for some time now. I dropped in to check on him periodically, and he was in pretty bad shape. Last time I went to see him his place was empty and they were working on rebuilding it. I started asking around and found out he passed on, sometime in August I believe.

    wow... Starmac (milt) was a friend... Back when I lived in Cordova, he once delivered through several folks several lbs of 2400 when it was completely unobtainable.. he carried it part way to talkeetna, met his daughter and she hand carried it all the way to whittier, put it on the ferry and made it to cordova... he was always a friend and a stand up guy if you ask me. he struggled with COPD from smoking he told me. last year he talked about coming down to where I live on Prince of Wales Island to run Log trucks... i havent heard from him in a while, but I sure expected to... he was gunna bring his portable mill down with him..
