Checked one off the bucket list!

I have listed after a Cooper rifle since they first started making them. They have always been out of reach but I finally decided it was time to bite the bullet and get rid of a couple guns and get a Cooper. I finally found a used Model 57 Jackson Squirrel Rifle in .22 LR that was in the box and looked brand new. It now wears a Leupold 4x12 A/O scope in Talley rings and is ready to knock off a few tree rats

    NICE!!!

Everyone should own at least 1 quality 22lr sporter in their life time.

Good score. Glad you got to check that box!

Mine was a M52 Winchester sporter. A "good" .22 is a nice add to any collection.

    Love yours too!!!

One of the most accurate 22LR rifles is the JM Marlin Ballard for the 22 produced in 1884 by UMC. I reload the UMC Target bullet with black powder from a custom Mos mold. At the range a couple of weeks ago, with the Ballard and the UMC’s totally obliterated the target center at 50 yards and several in the 10 ring

My last 2 grail guns were an M2 Springfield and a Winchester M52 Slow Lock. Both good shooters. Your Cooper is a very nice rifle but it always bothers me when folks display their handguns or rifles by laying on stones or brickwork. There’s always the potential for bad things to happen.
