KY Doe #2 down, the wife drops one tonight!

I had went and picked her up, was starting out of the field and 6 does ran out in the edge of the woods, I pulled over in the Ranger and she got out, keeping a tree between her and the deer, got up to 60 yds. she leaned around a a tree she took a rest on and whoom! DRT. She dropped a big ole doe, about #115 gutted, 45 minutes later we had her on ice with my deer from yesterday. She hunts with a CVA Kodiak, which is a copy of my Omega. It has one of the slickest barrels you have ever seen, and is a tack driver with 85 grs of 3FFFg, and a Powerbelt 295 grain lead slug. Has a Nikon pro sport 3x9x40. This makes Paula her 20th deer with a ML. I will send some pics to TBG to get him to post on here. We are truly blessed, will have about #100 of meat to grind up and put in the freezer tomorrow.

Way to go, girl!! No messing around for you! I wish Texas had a muzzleloading season. Preferably in January because it's still hot in October...

Congratulations to you and your wife!
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!

    Congratulations!
Our ML season is in December, after all the deer have been shot at with archery since October and modern rifles thru November. They are so high strung they can outrun most ML loads.

Still wait'n on ML season here in Va. But my wife is at it this morning trying to fill a tag with her new Excalibur Crossbow she just got this year. Got her a new ML last year but no luck. She's a trooper but quite the convenience hunter, she HATES to get out of a warm bed early. But she is really trying. Good to see the accomplishments coming from your way ladies (& men). Keep it up, & the pics R Great.
