    snider perforating 209 primer

I never pierced an original cheddite? primer in a 24 gauge plastic hull, but pierced 2 in a row with win 209. This was with an attempted light shotshell load with 700X-too fast burning? No BP bible-thumping please. Firing pin is in good shape full diameter and nicely rounded. thanx

They probably have a thinner cup the the other primers. Hopefully its as simple as that. Todd/3leg

    Cup hardness
Switch back to the cheddite primer or fiocchi primer
I also use some of the old Magtech berdan primed all brass hulls.

I use Mag-tech all brass shot shell cases with large pistol primers and have never had a problem.

thanx, I also use magtech brass but wanted a job for my plastic hulls. Recoil and noise were very subdued, pattern was great; and I wondered if too fast powder and gluegun sealing upped the pressure.
