Anyone have a picture of it????
I have a 311413, but I've heard it is different.
What is different between the two????

NOE made a clone of the 311414, you might give them a shout as I don't know if
they still make it. Great bullet for the K-31 Swiss, Fits the chamber perfectly.

Ideal 311413 ... 311413 The Squibb gas check bullet for the Springfield and other .30-06 rifles. Perhaps the most accurate gas check bullet yet produced. Excellent for target practice up to 600 yards. Has also been largely used for small game shooting in the Northwest, particularly for ducks at long range. Makes a most excellent load where one wishes to save the wear on his barrel from the full charged factory cartridge. Powder charge 16 grains Du Pont No. 80 powder, or 23 grains Hercules Lightning powder. Also very good for other 30 calibers. (GC, SP, 169 - TP is 413)

It’s one of my favorite bullets for a 30-30. Accurate to 500 meters
    Regards
    John

The 311414 will work in a 300 BO AR with the reduced nose diameter. I could not find the original Lyman so I went with the NOE clone 311-152-SP-L1. Very good bullet. The 311413 is a much older design that might work in a semi-auto if seated quite deeply. I suspect that the 413 would have been a very good 06 or 308 bullet.

I avoid rifle molds that have too much unsupported bore rider portions such as the one in the picture, for BP it doesn't matter so much as usually the boolit is soft and will slug up to fit, but using smokeless I fear that boolit will rattle and keyhole down the barrel. I say keyhole but that is an over reaction, the keyholing may start when it leaves the barrel, either way I don't know if it will be accurate out to 200 or so yards. There are so many nicely designed bore riders, that show even support for the full length of the boolit.....oh well we'll see how it works out.
