    Identification assistance needed

My mother recently received a Rossi 38 spl. 5 round revolver, I'm having trouble locating any information on. It is SUPPOSED to be a model 32, but I can't find anything on that model number. I do know the barrel is bobbed and recrowned. The original box says it's a 6" and it's now a 3, also the cut off leaves very little of the barrel id info in place, a few random letters.
It's import marks are firearms international corp washington dc, and all measurements say it's a 38spl, but as said the barrel marks are mostly gone. Like many Rossi's it seems a mostly copied Smith J frame, slightly smaller than my M68 copy of a Smith Chiefs Special 36 model. Any help on simple stuff like age would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance guys

33 explains why I can't find anything on it. The end of the box LOOKS like a 32 maybe...lol

I would be hesitant about shooting anything approaching +P ammunition in that gun. Those FIE guns were not rated for it, but they were pretty decent guns for the money. Back in the early 70's, they cost 59.00 dollars, while a Chiefs Special was about a 100.
