    Wife got promoted so I'm cooking a celebration dinner for us

    Wife got a huge promotion because she is just that awesome. Funny when your competent, smart and show up every day sometimes people notice. A 5 figure raise will make our retirement come that much sooner! Sometimes you marry well

    So, today she is out with her daughter who has a few days off from Bragg and when she gets home I'm going to have dinner ready to go.

    Bacon wrapped scallops on the grill, Rib Eye steaks, I dug up some sweet potatoes and will slice them and deep fry, asparagus spears and pickled beets. Fresh homemade horseradish on the side and her favorite, scratch made tapioca.

    Jon, when you get a chance - and don't interrupt dinner tonite! I'd appreciate your bacon wrapped scallops on the grill recipe - I've always wanted to do that. I'm doing a pork stir fry tonite and use up the last of the whiskey/teriyaki sauce I made a few days ago.

    Truth. I got her a job at that place and now she is moving up. Don't tell her my plan is to stay home full time, though
