    38-358477, 357 358429. I believe the 429 is trumped by NOE or LBT's 180 fn and bettered by NOE's 160 fn.

I'd like to try some 180 grain wide flat nose bullets, but for now I'm happy with my RCBS 38-150-SWC. If I had to pick a Lyman I spose it'd be the 358477, which the RCBS is nearly identical.

My first was the 358477. Bought it 43 yrs ago, and is a great mold for 357 mag and 38 spl. Need to go hotter, it’s a 358156 GC.

OK guys.... Thanks for the advice. Now, where can I find one of those?
E-Bay is tapped out,And I will not buy a new Lyman mold.
Anyone have an extra one laying around they would sell?

I have and have used the Lyman #358429, #358439, and the #358156 for years. They all work well in both cartridges, but I've seen at least slightly better overall accuracy in both cartridges using the 160 grain H&G #51, the original .357 Magnum bullet.

My sentiments precisely. I have all three, plus the substandard 357-446, and the 358-477 is the best of the PB Lyman molds IME.

Are we talking rifle or revolver here?

What do you want to do with these boolits -- punch holes, ring steel, kill Bambi?

OK, I just bought two RCBS molds.... 38-158 SWC and 38-162 SWC.
Anybody have any comments of which one is any better than the other.
The 38-158 SWC does not have a gas check. Can't seem to find a pic
    of it.

My son and I have been casting and shooting a lot of the 358665 out of pistol and rifle with very good results.

Yea, that looks like a good mold, but I had my heart set on a SWC.
