    I have no idea how you created the artwork on the knife blade.
    Is it all done with a hand tool?
    I'd like to see it better.

    The markings on the knife blade were a result of hammer forging the thickness to a taper. this was done to eliminate grinding a large amount of steel off. I just ground and sharpened the edge area. I'll try to get my son to take some close up pictures as he has possession of it.

    I was able to see the blade much better with a magnifying glass.
    At first I thought that it had scrimshaw, butt now I see that it's hand hammered steel which is also very nice.
