I use a cement nail, they are hardened steel and work well!
Hey you don't have to pound on that roll pin just flare it enough not to move a sharpened nail set works good too
I just use it to move a little metal into the locking ring notches, and same as mentioned above on pins.

great; going to torque the screws and stake with a nail set.
Most nail sets are not that hard. Better to use a center punch or a cement nail.

Nail Set worked great, plenty hard for this task. I would have used a cement nail, but I couldn't find mine.
