Green dot load data for 9mm and 30-30/.308

hello fellas, I recently got some green dot and was told that you can load 9mm and 30-30/ .308 with it and whats more i was told that some of the older reloading books had actual data on it. Does anyone have some of those old books who would be willing to jot down those numbers for me? Id appreciate it greatly.
    Thanks, Justin

Castpics.net has a bunch of older manuals in pdf format. I’d start there. You can also run a google search for Hercules Reloaders Guide by year and see if one comes up. I’ve found a lot of older manual from the manufacturers this way.

Alliant USED to offer spectacular load data. Now I swear they come out with half a dozen new loads every year, just so people don't notice them removing 30 others.

I've never seen any Greendot data for rifles, but that is easy to figure out. They do have a 30-30 Bludot load listed.

I was given 2 pounds of Green Dot about 15 years ago and it just sat around for 10 years until I decided to experiment with it. Of the cartridges you list, I have used it for plinking loads in a Savage 340 30-30 with very good results. Try 7.4 grains with the Lee 150 FP and the Lyman 311 291. They were the most accurate of my tested loads. The same charge behind the lighter Lee "soup can" and the Lyman 311008 shot almost as well. Velocity was in the 1400-1500 fps range for all loads.

I use Green Dot 8.9 grains with a Missouri boolit of 165 grains. Load came from Lyman cast bullet book. Very accurate to 100 yards for me.

.308 is not listed but I use the .30-30 data in my .308 and the velocities are very close.

Older Lyman manuals and the Cast Bullet Handbooks are treasures of information for cast shooters.

    Cast Bullet 3rd Ed

    4.3gn 1095fps 20,400 6.0gn 1325fps 31,000

I concur with Maineboy's recommendation for a 30/30 load with the 311291. I load 7.5 grains of Green Dot with the 311291 gas checked and get very good results in an old waffletop 336 Marlin with 4-groove rifling. I've never loaded Green Dot in 9mm.
