    Lyman 45 colt e93 for 45 acp?

I have a brand new set of lyman's. Premium carbide 45 colt dies. Can I use it for 45 acp?
Taper crimp is marked 45 acp/colt.
Will the sizer work? Or should I just sell the dies and buy 45acp?

    I would try them.

Most carbide .45 Colt dies size the brass excessively in that caliber, but probably size cases enough for .45 ACP without excessively working them. No harm in trying.

The old colt dies used to be larger in diameter which actually worked well with cast bullets as the shell didn't swage the bullet during seating. Yours will be fine too. I was thinking that the acp wouldn't reach far enough into the die but it's marked dual already.

interesting, I thought the days of the 4 die pistol sets from Lyman were in the past, I see the powder through die is the other one a taper crimp or "M" die
I have one set that 9mm came with m die and taper crimp and another in 41 mag that came with powder through and M die but 45 colt was only a 3 die set with M die. I really like the Lyman pistol cal die sets because of the "M" dies

The only question I would have is if the expander die and seating die will work on the shorter 45 ACP case?

Got these somewhere lol. Pretty cool it has a M die. Want to try them but, if I use the dies i can't sell or trade them as new.
I'm just going to buy a set of acp.
