    Henry 1860 clone in 44-40

Anybody have a copy of the 1860? What loads do you like are they safe for full power loads or is a guy better off with cowboy/mouse fart loads? What boolits do yall prefer in them?

Safe and accurate loads in original Winchester 1873s and old Colts are either 6 grains of Bullseye or TiteGroup, 6.5 grains of 231, WST or 452AA, or 7 grains of Unique with the RCBS 44-200CM, or Accurate 43-206H, cast 1 to 30 tin-lead and sized .430". These all approximate factory load velocity and are proven safe.

The action is the old 1860 Toggle Link design ... not the strongest ...
Use loads that would be proper for the Colt 1873 SA revolver and Winchester 1873 Rifles / Carbines .
The loads should not exceed 13,700 CUP , Lyman manual refers to these as Group 1 .
