I’m with you, I think that could be a very good thing . Personally I’m a big fan of Blackhawks and Vaqueros and Marlin lever guns !
Keep your powder dry and watch your six !!

That's very interesting. So now, the much maligned Remlins will become collector items!

From past encounters with both products I'm not interested in either one . It will be interesting to see how Vista does with the ammunition .

It is sad to see Remington go under .

Buy it cheap and stack it deep , you may need it !

So, is somebody going to buy the 'Remington' assets ?
Is remington shedding all the other brands so as to continue as remington?

I am happy to see Ruger probably acquire the Marlin firearms asset and I am happy to see Sierra acquire the Barnes bullets asset. Hopefully the new owner of the Lonoke ammunition will do a good job.

Good news to me. But........I hope Ruger doesn't turn out the same boring 20" bbls, BBL bands and ramped sights........let's see 16 & 24" octagon barrels, rifle furniture, dovetailed blade sights.
A compact levergun that is truly compact. The C and CP 1894 models were near perfect save the ramped front sights. Looking forward to seeing them hit the shelf.

I'm torn in how I feel about this. I love my 700's and my 870's as well as my 1187's

Knowing Ruger,, it will probably take the better part of a decade to see one.
Though they'll probably start advertising them by Christmas....
Hopefully not featuring beech wood and potmetal,, like their last lever action.

I will stick with Henry what I cannot understand is how this holding company tanked the Remington brand Gun sales at all time records the last 12 years ........

I should start a pool on how long it's going to take the guys at the Marlin forums to start reminiscing about the good old days when Remlins were king and how bad the new "Margers" are.

We can thank the Holding companies that trade manufacturers like a kid
    trades baseball cards.

Well I for one would be interested if they changed the rifling twist in the 444 Marlin and 44 magnum rifles from that 1x38 to 1x20. Don't know why Marlin ever went with such a slow twist in the first place. Frank

My 1895 444 has a 1:20 and I believe they have had this faster twist for a few years now.

I hope Ruger will change the 1894 twist to 1:20 like the 444, and similar to Ruger's SBH twist rate.
