    4064 is good but it is a bit faster burning and more temp sensitive than Varget. IIRC it is more suitable for the lighter bullets in those rounds.

    OTOH, I have found that those two cartridges are quite flexible and will shoot well with several powders.

    PS these are the days where I frequently will find a 'new' powder that works well in my guns. Run into a 'deal' on an 8lb jug and make it work. Sometimes turns out to be as good or better than what I was using

    When i first started loading rifle, everyone touted it as the best, so I bought up on it. Eventually settled on 4064 for most med rifle loads and H335 for small. I'm sitting on 2 8lb kegs and most of a 4 lb.
