    Idaho, She is a BEAUTY!!

    I have never had a "Bob". I have had a 25/06 and a 250 Savage and now have a 25/45 Sharps, But never had a 257 Roberts.

I have a project gun Im strongly considering 257 Roberts.

Myown "first" Was a 8mm Mauser given to me by my Grandfather. My first I BOUGHT was a 358 Winchester in a Browning BLR.

    Good memories!!

your father was a man of excellent taste and a fine judge of what make's a fine rifle
Winchester model 70's have been for me the best of the best
I have been on hunts where other major rifle manufactures(Remington,Ruger) rifles would not fire
bolts freeze up firing pins refuse to work but Winchester never let me down

that wood is beautiful. I always liked the svelte lines of the featherweight. I bought mine in Barstow CA in 1988. It's been my go to rifle since then, still equipped with a glossy 4X leupold.

Everything I have of value needs hazmat shipping; most notably primers, ammo, and powder. Was going to trade a local guy a case of Federal Large Pistol Primers for an old Redfield, but he backed out.

I have a USRA M70 Featherweight from about the early 80s. It is a push feed in 6.5X55 which is supposed to be rare. It is very accurate thought I have put scopes on it I have never mounted a scope on it permanently since I do most of my hunting with a very accurate .25-06.
