    Tumbling media

I have some loaded military surplus ammo that got damp and the cases are coroded on the outside. I am thinking that walnut tumbling media might be course enoughto start the cleaning process. Buffalo arms sent me some very fine walnut media but i want to get something courser i can use in my tumbler. Any brand suggestions ?.

Go to Earl May and get Lizzard Bedding, this is just ground walnut shell and it's 12 the price.

You want fine. I’d try what you have on hand. Worse case is that it takes longer to polish it. I use fine walnut blasting media from Harbor Freight. $1 a pound before the 20% off coupon. I used to run it in a cement mixer and needed a lot of it. Now it’s just two larger tumblers.

This was range pickups, outside so some had mud on them, after an overnight run. Don’t let anyone tell you walnut won’t clean well
