I believe I have a new brass one (Skinner) that can be filed down. I will check and let you know if you are still looking.

Update: I did look and can't find one, only the really short ones, sorry.

I have a NOS, Marble #105731, 1/16" gold bead sight. Measured thru the original packaging it is .575" base to top. $10.00 plus shipping.
    Will this do? Pepe Ray

I have had John Taylor fabricate for me from scratch front sight blanks which are extra high so you can file to height and shape with standard 3/8" dovetail base. About $100 for four of them, great for projects! He also took some M14 front sights with ears which I had him cut the female dovetail off the bottom and machine the remaining base with 3/8" dovetail and 0.5" height to be filed in for various projects. Very satisfactory! Batching four or so, unit cost is less than new Brockmans, and you then have extras and spares.
