    Uberti

Does anyone have experience with the newly announced "1885 Courteney" .303 British Stalking Rifle from Uberti?? Looks like a fun rifle to me.

No--it's pretty new. I read a couple of write-ups and I agree that it might be a good one.

No here either. I also think it may be a fun rifle and I really like the looks, just not enough to pay their asking price.

I checked with a local store and they said they could get one and cost would be 1450.00. But, everyplace he checked said they were on back order. I would like to see and handle one.

Pricey? I suppose. But a quick look shows that they are on par price wise with Ruger No.1's. And it's nice to have the option from the standpoint of appearance and functional feel.
Witty saying to be plagarized shortly.....

Nothing about it, except the caliber interests me. I have no use for a lightweight single shot personally, and would rather have a standard Uberti 1885 if I was buying one.
