Question regarding Lyman small SC moulds

Does anyone make a thicker sprue plate? I could also use a couple of handle screws and the thick lock washers as well, after market sources?

    Thanks Matt

So, I found these guys... http://www.kal.castpics.net/Molds3.html

I am going to call them today and discuss options with them. Will likely order a few to test.

IIRC, there was a guy named Bob Roller who made extra-thick sprue plates for Lyman SC moulds. Don't know if he’s still in business now, but you might do a search.

Might check with Lyman. Last time I ordered sprue plates for my DC they actually were thicker. Dunno about the SC's though.

Yes, the Lyman rebuild kits do have thicker plates, very nice in fact. But, they stock nothing for the old single cavity or narrow double cavity moulds.

Shouldn't be too hard to make your own, just have to locate two holes and shape doesn't really matter.

I have a double cavity Rapine mold for the .43 Spanish that the sprue plate is surprisingly crude looking on compared to the quality of the mold, but it still does the intended job quite well.
