    I didn't know

In the current issue of "Shooting Times" I discovered there was apparently a version of the REM 121 that is EXTREMELY unusual and one I certainly was unaware of. According to the article by Joseph Von Benedict, regarding the REM 572, in comparison he stated the REM 121 has TOP EJECTION therefore making it more difficult to mount a scope and occasionally a piece of hot brass can end up falling into the collar of one's shirt. HUH???

I know, it was a total brain freeze on his part, he most assuredly knows better and was probably thinking of the WIN 62 and various versions thereof, but it does make for a good laugh when supposed knowledgeable (read that as smarter than the rest of us poor gun owning schulbs) makes such a blatant error. I choked on my coffee when I read it. Don't you just hate it when coffee comes out your nose?

Figured you folks might enjoy a chuckle

    .

The trouble is that when unknowledgeable folks read that in print, the wrong info is taken as gospel.....

If those rags could sell with nothing but ads, they would. "Writers" are an overhead item, so they go for the cheapest they can get.

I could be wrong and frequently am; but I think the only true top eject Remingtons were the Models 8 and 81 semiautomatic center fire rifles. Its ok(I guess); the gun writers I grew up reading were full of bull occasionally as well.
