Maybe the fear comes out of CA where EVERYTHING is going to kill you. I saw a California cancer warning on a chunk of aluminum bar stock for God's sake!
OTOH, SOMETHING IS having deleterious effects on mental acuity in the "Golden(?) State"!
When I lived on the Left Coast, working in the environmental field, I saw a complete lack of understanding of basic toxicology by the public. If one uttered the words "Poison exists," that was equivalent to saying "I am being poisoned."

I thought it was lead and other normal stuff caused cancer and reproductive harm in californians , my thought was of course it is not normal to have sexual relations with the same sex , Sorry could not resist , I have fiocchi primers that are not lead free , do not buy primers that will not last .

The dangers of lead are grossly exaggerated, unless of course you are shot by it.

Do lead free primers have a shorter shelf life? Are there any articles about this?
I have been using some Tula brand lead free small pistol primers from Russia with no problems.

Please tell us how they are 5 years from now.

When indoor ranges have a problem it is their air handling equipment's fail. Out door ranges uh what problem? Reloader's that poison themselves truly need to change their ways. Vibrating cleaners with dry media is most of the problem along with poor cleaning of hands and smoking or eating while reloading.
