Picked up a Howa miniaction awhile back decided this will be my go to for cast bullets, having a threaded barrel decided to put a compensator on it,Odin Works Atlas 6.5 easy installation just screw it on some minor adjustment and you're gtg. Loaded up a batch of 6.5 ammo using 17.5 hrs IMR 4198,Hornandy and Reminton brass,CCI small rifle primer with a 130gr gc sized .267.
Wanted to test both the the load and compensator, comp reduced nozzle rise by 75% and the load was doing under and inch at 25 yes and was able to hit 1/2 gallon milk jugs at 100 yds with a nice resounding whack. Going to try heavier charges of 4198 with the 130 gr bullet to see if groups shrink or expand. Oh mold block NOE 126 gr gc,long skinny bullet. Might try the same load in one of my CZ 527s. Picked 3 6.5 grendel's 2 CZ 527s and the Howa.
