I have been saving for a while and have wanted a Night Force SHV. Now that I have the cash, I am unsure I want to part with it for the scope. I ask myself is more scope than I need, will I use it to its full potential? What are your thoughts thanks.

What purpose will you be using it for? I have an SHV on a 300PRC, 257 Weatherby, 300 WSM, and a 30-378. They are all for use on longish range hunting. Great glass, great support, fantastic turrets.

I would mount it on a 300 win mag, I would use to hunt hogs in a river bottom where shots could be a long shot 1000 plus. At this point I am not a 1000 yard shot yet still working on my shooting ability.
