Requesting supportive prayer

We are currently on vacation in Gordonsville, VA and yesterday took a trip to visit Arisaka99 (Chris), his wife and three little daughters and their new house. On the way back to the unit I was driving and in an accident - and my car is toast. LOML has some bruising from the seat belt and is stiff, I am a two day sore so doing fine now. Arisaka99 came and got us, (this was Sunday night on a holiday weekend!) and took us back to the unit. We are resting today, nothing is open. Our insurance covers a rental car and we will have it tomorrow. I was driving an 08 Honda Fit and both air bags went so there is no hope of repair.

By God's blessing a car was in our budget this year, we did not expect to use it. I wanted to drive that car until it died, and I guess I did since I killed it!

Unfortunately I like a standard shift (in 08 only transmission available in the Fit) but they are rare now. Chris did work in a dealership in Charlottesville and has some contacts he will be mining. He has been a great help.

We are trusting God to deal with all the details for us.

Enterprise called, won't have a car until around 3PM. Allstate wants to tow the car to one of their storage areas to evaluate the residual value. The guy who has it in his lot wants me to let him deal with Allstate so he can give me minimal money and make money himself - naturally. Chris says he's known for this.

If you want to pray for a true miracle - we will be looking to replace this car and I have driven a standard shift all my life. We are 67 years old, bad back, and not interested in a big vehicle. I was driving a Honda Fit and loving it. Would like a used small pickup or another Fit or something like this. But a standard shift would truly be a miracle.

Already got that covered Wayne . Didn't know about the 'standard' aspect but in prayer asking for help finding another car . Pretty easy to assume you would have that need . Hope ya'll find a suitable replacement soon .

We are now home and going car shopping today. Found a 2017 Fit that we can afford with relatively low mileage. It is a CVT but the dealer provides lifetime drive train warranty that transfers since they sold this car originally - and have complete repair records as well. For me the downside is that it is black, but the Fit I had had great AC.

I have a black Expedition and it only looks good when it is cleaned up but like you we jumped on a deal we could afford, I pray you get what y’all need and it is reliable.

Got the Fit - I loved mine and look forward to driving this one until it or I die. Yup, the drive train warranty transferred so no problem with the transmission. Mine had a very powerful AC so I believe it will be livable. 36,350 miles on a 2017 Fit. It also has a powered moon roof, doesn't look like it's ever been opened and I may never also! Gotta get used to all the electronic stuff on it. My '08 had none of this.
