I picked up a classic rifle and restored it. Im wondering how much of a velocity 22 lr it can take. I mostly have high velocity. I have one box of 325 count of federal 1200 FPS. Used some of them. To zero it. The restore came out real nice. I would hate to break a nice classic rifle.

I just sold off two model 67's.
They handled anything I put in them , even my handloaded 22 lrs

Good lookin rifle ya got there. I need to refinish my rem 510 one of these days. Hopin it comes out that good

High velocity 22 LR came out in 1930 and new guns were widely adapted to handle the pressures by 1932.

I shoot the 1200fps plus stuff regularly in my Win. 67A and it is still going strong--and accurate.
