    smoked chuck roast plus

the reason im calling it plus is because you can do so much with it

1 season heavily with salt pepper and garlic powder

2 smoke on 225 for 2 hours unwrapped

3 cut up a onion in a roasting pan and place the roast on top, pour 2 cups of beef broth over the roast and cook until internal temp is 165

4 pour in 2 more cups of broth and cover with foil and cook until internal temp is 201 atleast

can be used as pull beef bbq, beef, onions and au-jus over mashed potatoes or it makes a great french dip with au-jus

For the burnt ends, smoke to about 165, cut into cubes add you brown sugar, bbq sauce and spices and cover and bring up to about 201-202. Leave the cover off if you want heavy caramelized coating.

that sounds real good, never thought about smoking chuck roast, brisket price is pretty darn high these days usually about $7-$8lb before the virus price spikes.
what kind of wood do you use?

Here is the last batch we did... Trim some of the fat to prevent excess grease.
