    Polygonal rifling

In the past I have used cast 150 gn 9mm's for USPSA in .38 super with standard rifling

Now that the super is gone I have a tanfoglio race gun with two uppers one in 9mm the other in .40.

I need to re-work up loads anyway but has anyone used pc bullets in a tanfo or glock that they used in standard rifling also?? Were there any changes in velocity or pressures as compared to the same bullets in standard cut rifling?

I haven't seen any load comparison with the two different types of rifling.
    Regards,

    Gary

Have a Ruger P90 in .45 ACP, 2 1911s and a Glock in same caliber. Shoot the same powder-coated boolits in the Glock as the other .45s with the same load of Tite Group, Win 231 & Bullseye with total success. With proper powder coating techniques & with good coverage, no worries about polygonal rifling. Different caliber but I see no problem with my 9mms either, though I do not have a polygonal 9mm. PC is a jacketed bullet, so it makes no difference, other than a PC bullet will gain about 5% increase in velocity over copper or plated jacket.

No real diff. I have a LW barrel for my G17, I get a slightly higher vel with it over the stock glock bbl, probably tighter tolerances.
