    Detuning a Marauder

I've never been huge into air guns. I've always had bb and pellet guns. I currently have a spring piston .177. I've been considering getting a Benjamin Marauder in 25 caliber. I do not need the power, but I am leaning towards 25 caliber mainly for the Green mountain barrel. I am wondering if these can be de tuned to allow a maximum number of shots between fills. I also see they sell regulators that presumably let you set the pressure that the gun actually sees. Is there any reason I can't fill the tank to 3000 psi, set the regulator to say 1500 psi, and shoot for a real long time like that?

You can adjust a standard marauder, My Marauder is 22 I fill to 3000 psi and refill at 2000 psi. I have mine set for 950 fps. and get 40 - 50 shots per fill. But I also have an extension on the reservoir tube.
